Working closely with the VP Production & Winemaker Amélie Boury, mentored by Founder & Chairman Paul Bosc Sr., and reporting to President & CEO Paul Bosc Jr., the Vineyard Manager will be responsible for operating a total of 110 hectares of vitis vinifera vineyards on four sites to produce exceptional quality grapes. We make world-class wine from grapes grown on our own vineyards using sustainable agricultural practices.

Specific responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage the life cycle of the vineyards utilizing proven cool-climate techniques
• Manage a team of 30 vineyard workers to complete tasks effectively and efficiently including training
• Lead CdC’s participation in the S.A.W.P program including liaising with Mexican Consulate
• Ensure all farm equipment, farm houses and properties are maintained to optimal working standards
• Lead by example to continuously find cost/time efficiencies without compromising quality
• Maintain accurate records of all farm operations, costs and labour
• Insure all farm operations adhere to health and safety standards and S.A.W.P. requirements

 Ideal Candidate

• Post-secondary degree in viticulture and agricultural engineering
• Strong attention to detail
• Superior problem-solving skills and able to multi-task with ease
• Positive, proactive attitude and enjoys sharing knowledge with team members as well as continuous learning
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, physical environment with extended hours as determined by the weather and vineyard cycle
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience managing a vineyard operation of 50+ acres, preferably in at least one cool climate wine region
• Proficient in MS Office
• Forklift licence, hazardous materials disposal certificate, chemical/pesticide use certificate
• Loves farming!!!
