Dream Wines is a boutique wine import agency representing some of the most famous and iconic wineries from around the world. The headquarters are based in North Vancouver but we serve all markets in Western Canada.
The Marketing and Administration Coordinator will be responsible for all marketing functions of the company, providing timely support to the sales team, and ensuring administrative tasks are completed with excellent customer service and attention to detail. Working with Dream Wines means that you will be a part of tight-knit team, where you can have influence on company decisions and be afforded significant independence to complete your own responsibilities.
Summary of Key Marketing Responsibilities
· Creating and updating marketing promotional materials – for individual wines, promotions, events.
· Coordinating with Sales Team to send out promotional email content.
· Maintaining wine profiles up to date in retailer databases.
· Keeping client e-mail lists up to date.
· Managing the company website.
· Co-managing the company social media accounts.
· Coordinating with BC Liquor Stores marketing teams with regards to shelf talkers, stickers, and other promotional materials.
· Other marketing and promotional duties, as required.
Summary of Key Administrative Responsibilities
· Registering new wines with provincial liquor boards.
· Registering wines with various retail customers.
· Managing product re-activations of wine with provincial liquor boards.
· Processing LTOs and pricing changes.
· Event planning and coordination (Wine Fest, Cornucopia, Top Drop, etc.).
· Coordinating supplier visits.
· Coordinating with sales team and BC Winery partners to keep track of orders.
· Managing the wine club.
· Assisting with sample locker inventory counts.
· Acting as backup for Operations Manager.
· Identifying issues and problem solving with various parties.
Qualifications, Experience, and Requisites
· Basic wine knowledge or interest in wine.
· Experience in the wine industry and WSET certification are big assets.
· Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma.
· Proficiency in Mac iWork Suite or MS Office.
· Creative thinker with experience in marketing.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven team-player and collaborator.
· Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
· Proactive self-starter who can manage workload independently and prioritize effectively.
· High attention to detail, problem solving, and logical thinking.
· Ability to travel locally when required.
· Cell phone (allowance provided).
· Laptop/Computer.
· Vehicle.
Important Details:
· Business hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6:00pm. Most of the time worked will need to be during business hours.
· Weekly in-office work time requirement is 10 hours per week (after 3 months training).
· There will be a gradual transition of responsibilities to allow for adequate training.
· You will have significant influence on your workflow, provided required tasks are completed.
· Some of the responsibilities are on hold indefinitely due to Covid-19 restrictions.
