Our team is currently looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of National Brand Manager based in our Oakville, Ontario office. Reporting to the Senior VP - Marketing & Strategy, this role will be focused on leading the strategic growth and financial success of our partnered brands within the Canadian marketplace.
Position Overview
The National Brand Manager is the strategic, marketing leader for our partnered brands within the Canadian market place. Working with our partner brand owners the Brand Manager is responsible for the preparation of annual marketing / brands plans including brand P & Ls (volume/profit goals); key consumer and business/category issues & insights strategies; competitive analysis and pricing and promotion recommendations. The Brand Manager is additionally responsible for providing all necessary and relevant marketing and trade / promotional support to the Regional Sales teams in ensuring the delivery of target sales objectives.
The successful applicant will posses the following Skills/Competencies and Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in business administration / marketing
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales, brand, or product management preferably in beverage alcohol / CPG industry
• Blend of strategic brand management and strong trade marketing experience
• Proven success with managing brand P&Ls / budgets
• Team player / collaborator / self-starter / demonstrated initiative
• Confident and competent communicator – verbal, written and presentations
• Ability to think analytically and act creatively
• Familiarity with trade development fundamentals (supplier, sales, customer, and brand)
• Proficient in analysis of consumer insights and trade data to foster growth through actionable items
• Previous experience with syndicated consumer and government data ACD, EZ Focus, Cognos is an asset
• Bilingualism an asset
Additional Requirements:
• Must have valid driver’s license, and passport
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and travel overnight as necessary
