Wild Goose is looking for two Seasonal Full Time Tasting Room Associates

Owned and operated by the Kruger family, the winery is a complete wine country destination offering vineyard views, a spacious tasting room, the Smoke & Oak Bistro with alfresco patio, private function space and award-winning wines. Responsibilities include:

·         Educating and selling to visitors our award-winning portfolio of wines

·         Promoting and selling memberships into our successful Vintner’s Club and all upcoming events

·         Promoting ticket sales and assisting at all upcoming special events

·         Providing each visitor with personal contact as befits the Wild Goose story

·         Handling transactions as set by procedure

·         Occasionally representing the winery at off site events/tastings

·         Assisting with the prep and shipment of Direct to Consumer orders

·         Organizing, scheduling and conducting select tastings and tours

·         Stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the Tasting Room and all public areas

·         All other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

·         Prior experience in hospitality, sales

·         WSET experience is an asset but a keen interest in wine is non-negotiable

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills

·         Excellent multi-tasking skills

·         Ability to work with a team

·         Ability to take direction and feedback

Requirements:

·         Must be able to meet physical needs of the position; able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

·         Comfortable working with Point-of-Sale systems.

·         Must be 19 years of age and have a Serving It Right certificate.

·         Reliable transportation to and from work.

·         Shifts for both positions will cover weekends.
