Tasting Room Associate - Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This is a wonderful opportunity for enthusiast & eager individuals to help spread the word about the great wines of Wild Goose. Help us attract new customers & deepen the relationships we have with our existing fans. If you love interacting with people & have a passion to create wonderful experiences, this might be the position for you.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

·         Educating and selling to visitors our award-winning portfolio of wines

·         Promoting and selling memberships into our successful Vintner’s Club and all upcoming events

·         Providing each visitor with personal contact as befits the Wild Goose story

·         Handling transactions as set by procedure

·         Greeting, seating and preforming hostess duties as per procedure

·         Assisting with the prep and shipment of Direct to Consumer orders

·         Organizing, scheduling, and conducting select tastings and tours

·         Stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the Tasting Room and all public areas

·         Assisting the Bistro staff with seating, clearing, taking reservations, anything that is needed to ensure customer service levels are maintained

·         And, of course, other duties as requested.  

WE WILL INTERVIEW:

·         Someone who has a passion to make a difference and see a result of their efforts.

·         Someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done (from changing the bathroom garbage to talking to the winemaker about what our customers love in their Gewürztraminer).

·         Someone who loves interacting with customers and satisfying their wine needs.

·         Someone who takes direction and constructive feedback with the aim to improve.

·         Someone with prior experiences in hospitality and/or sales.

·         Someone who is helpful and takes pride in their work and environment.

·         Someone who has excellent verbal communications skills and can use those skills to think on their feet.

·         Someone with a wine background, whether it is WSET training, or just a passion and general understanding of how wine is made (or is eager to learn about wine).

·         Someone who is comfortable with a POS system, able to work weekends, stand for long hours, have reliable transportation to and from work, and is 19 years of age or over.

·         Someone who has or will get their Serving-it-Right Certificate.

·         Someone who can pack, lift, and securely place a case of wine (40 lbs.) into someone’s truck, repeatedly.
