Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill the positions of Bottling Line / Equipment Operator based out of our Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a team environment, enjoys troubleshooting and understands the importance of safety and quality in a production environment.
Our winery is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution; operating year-round and producing some of the industry’s most awarded wines. The Role:
As a Bottling Line / Equipment Operator, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in operating our advanced production equipment and automated machinery, while following standard operating procedures. With our various different bottling and canning lines, there are countless opportunities to learn something new every day, pursue development opportunities, and grow your career.
Key responsibilities:
- Assists in the operation of production machinery and equipment
- Participates in set-up, clean-up and maintenance of production equipment
- Support in the manual labour process of making Sparkling Wines
- Rotates between various functions on bottling line
- Assists in inspection of finished goods for quality control purposes
- Fully supports the company policies & core values, and safety practices
- Operates Forklift to transport Finished Product
- Performs other duties as assigned by Production Supervisors / Manager
Job Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous experience on a bottling line or production environment would be an asset
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work rotating shift work & overtime
- Ability to learn quickly
- Team-oriented
- Basic reading, writing and math skills (English)
- Quality-conscious person
- Must be punctual and maintain good attendance
