River Stone Estate Winery is a small, award-winning, family-owned and run winery located just north of Oliver, BC. Established in 2003, the vineyards have recently doubled in size, with sales and production growing to match it. We are excited to bring higher volumes and new varietals of wine to our retail customers, extensive wine club, and expanding wholesale partners.
We are seeking an ambitious, highly-skilled, people-orientated, Sales and Marketing Manager to join our small, flexible team. Reporting to the owner, this role will be responsible to develop and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy and manage all sales activities to achieve our targeted sales growth. This includes growing River Stone’s brand, seasonal wine shop, off-site retail, wine club, and online store. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive River Stone’s revenue growth.
- Develop, implement, and review integrated marketing strategies to promote the Winery’s brand and sales.
- Forecast and analyze (with Finance support) wine revenues, quantities and customers, while contributing to annual budgets and timely reporting.
- Owning and optimizing all sales channels and sales relationships.
- Accountable for communications, websites, marketing materials, and pop-ups, including executing special events and promotional opportunities.
- Manage and support Wineshop Supervisor and Wine Club and Marketing Coordinator.
- Work closely with the Tasting Room Supervisor to hire and train the Tasting Room team.
- Ensure our Winery’s values, teamwork, and desired customer experience are promoted and delivered in everything we do.
The right candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of related sales and marketing experience.
- Excellent communication and project management experience.
- Team first approach. Versatile, flexible, and accountable with a willingness to “pitch in” to support the customer experience.
- Excellent oral and writing skills and an attention to detail.
- Valid Drivers License.
Nice to have:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma.
- Strong understanding of E-commerce, social media, digital marketing, and customer acquisition.
- Proficiency in customer analytics, online/e-commerce reporting tools and basic graphic design.
- The ability to quickly master e-commerce tools, like industry-standard WineDirect.
- Passion for wine.
