Church & State Wines features two distinctly different vineyard properties located in the Okanagan and on Vancouver Island. Sunocean Wineries and Estates Inc. DBA Church& State Wines is looking in for a full time Sales and Marketing manager to perform various sales and marketing jobs. The winery is producing around 20,000 cases annually. The vineyards are covering 85 acres with 15 different varietals on 5 different vineyards. The winery is producing premium and ultra premium wines focused on terroirs expressions.

The ideal candidate will understand the sales and the ability to close a sale and the ability to build strong relationships. They will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a competitive nature and efficient time management in both retail and licensee channels. This position comes with a competitive compensation including base salary, bonus, commission, business trip allowance and group benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating, leading and reviewing the annual forecasts for wines sales and volumes while creating all aspects of the annual budgets including sales, cost of goods, labour, revenue, expenses, and marketing, etc.
  • Under the head office’s approval, in charge of all pricing, forecasting and supply management to ensure company is maximizing yield per wine and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Continually communicating and evaluating all internal and external sales channels
  • Overseeing the tasting bars for two locations in order to set the service standard to ensure remarkable guest experiences in order to obtain more customers and sales on daily basis.
  • Increasing the numbers, satisfaction, and overall customer experience of wine club members to increase the online sales. Updating newsletter, media page, management page etc. in churchandstatewines.com website and https://lostinhibitionswine.com/
  • Overseeing the inventory on and off site in different storage facilities by moving the inventory into appropriate locations to ensure the sales and customer’s satisfaction.
  • Creating proper marketing strategies to promote winery through events, trade shows, and overseeing all media and public relations closely. Developing annual integrated marketing plan, budget and overseeing the execution to ensure brand essence.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education degree or diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of related sales experience, wine/beer/ liquor sales preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and the wine industry
  • self- starter and highly motivated
  • Excellent oral and written English language
  • Valid B.C. Drivers License
