Phantom Creek Estates is a highly anticipated new winery located on the famed Black Sage Bench of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, specializing in single vineyard Bordeaux reds, Alsatian whites and the Okanagan’s benchmark varieties of Viognier and Syrah from storied vineyard sites.  By farming its vineyards with care and precision, Phantom Creek produces wines that celebrate and speak to where they are grown.  The winery’s estate vineyards, including the acclaimed Phantom Creek Vineyard, are in transition to organic and biodynamic certification.

We are currently recruiting for Brand Ambassadors to join our growing hospitality team. This hourly position will be based in the winery on Black Sage Road in Oliver, British Columbia. Reporting to the Tasting Room Manager, this role will execute our private, memorable guest and VIP tours, experiences and tastings.

 

The essential functions for this key role are:

 

·         Provide exceptional hospitality at the tasting bar and terrace lounge that translates into wine sales by leading public tours and other guest experiences

·         Provide consistent brand messaging to guests as well as describing our wines, winemaking techniques and winery history

·         Assist with any special events such as private dinners or media tastings

·         Facilitate checkout processes for guests and complete cash outs at the end of your shift

·         Setting up and cleaning for daily operations and special events

 

The successful candidate qualifications are:

·         Completion of WSET Level 2, or higher, or equivalent

·         Minimum 1-2 years of wine industry experience (including restaurant; sommelier experience)

·         Demonstrated experience and skill providing outstanding hospitality

·         A proven communicator who excels at entertaining/educating groups of guests

·         Experience using Vin65 or other reservation management software

·         Ability to lift 40 lbs. and work weekends and holidays
