We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated Guest Relations/Admin Assistant to join our team at Black Hills Estate Winery (BHEW). Black Hills Estate Winery is situated on the scenic Black Sage Bench in Oliver, British Columbia and has been producing premium wine in this region since 1999. Known for the Nota Bene Bordeaux inspired blend, our focus is precise vineyard management, minimal intervention in the winery, and world class wine experiences offered to the thousands of visitors we see annually.
Reporting into the Estate Manager, the Guest Relations/Admin Assistant is responsible for ensuring the overall experience of guests is a positive one, providing optimal customer service and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of each guest, as well this role is responsible for assisting guests with itinerary planning, tours, on-site winery experience and related administration office functions.
We are looking for a teammate with:
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration and/or Hospitality, as well wine education/knowledge is desirable Passionate about offering high levels of customer service; wine service skills a bonus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, managing competing demands
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications; Outlook; creation of spreadsheets
- Strong planning, organizational and execution skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
This teammate will be accountable for:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of guest experience strategies identifying opportunities at the winery and surrounding area
- Determining the needs of customers, upselling experiences, and making recommendations such as tours, where to dine, shop and other wineries to visit
- Managing reservations and acting as the concierge for onsite guests; addressing the needs and concerns of guests and answering questions as well assist with developing itineraries for guests
- Ensuring safety of guest; performing periodic inspections to ensure that all property and equipment used by guests is clean, safe and in good working order
- Managing guest suite service contractors; including housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds keeping
- Office administrative duties as well assisting with administrative functions related to BHEW Wine Club
- Assisting retail staff as required
