French Door Winery is a growing premium organic winery located in Oliver, B.C.; showcasing the wines of the talented Bree Toor & Pascal Madevon. We are a small, hard-working team dedicated to quality in both service and the wines we produce.
WE ARE HIRING: Harvest Cellar Assistant
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
·Educational opportunity to learn about winemaking from Vine to Bottle.
·Operating all equipment used in the processing of grapes, juice, and wine during harvest.
·General cellar duties, including racking, inoculations, additions, and filtering.
·Making additions to wine, as well as transferring wine volumes using a variety of pumps and hoses.
·Sorting of grapes, operating presses and destemmer.
·Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment, as well as always adhering to current WorkSafe regulations.
·Pump overs and punch downs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·REQUIRED: Previous harvest experiences
·ASSETS: Winemaking or viticulture qualification, or science related qualifications.
·Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team, in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on quality, accuracy and timeliness.
·Forklift driving certification considered an asset, however we will get your certified if you need
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Although we are a smaller operation at around 3000 cases, our winemaking is incredibly detailed and quality focused so taking pride in your work is paramount. We taste our wines all the time so you'll be a part of our quality meetings, offering your input and making recomendations on quality.

Compensation is competiive and will be based on your past experiences and qualifications.
