Now Hiring: Harvest Interns/Cellar Hands for the 2025 Vintage.
This position runs between September 1 to December 18, 2025, with options to extend to March 2026 for some.
About:
Wild Goose Winery (1983) is one of the first Estate Wineries licensed in BC, and continues with our vision to produce locally sourced cool climate reds and whites that best characterize the South Okanagan. Family owned and operated, the Vineyards are planted in Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, extensive Bordeaux varietal plantings and Syrah. The overriding philosophy of the winery is to use proven traditional winemaking methods to best express the terroir, in harmony with a traditional facility, careful scientific evaluation and a dedication to winemaking excellence. Sustainable practices and environmental initiatives are valued highly at Wild Goose and owners actively participate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grape Processing: Grape and Juice Reception, Destemming, Crushing, and Pressing.
- Handling equipment, managing pumps, clamps, hoses, etc. typical of a medium estate winery.
- Handling standard winemaking chemicals.
- Learning and practicing our systems and commitment to quality
- Attention to detail and an ability to maintain an organized work space
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in appropriate science related discipline (Wine and viticulture preferred) programs.
- Dependable, and self-starting.
- Able to work long hours and irregular shifts including weekends and statutory holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writin
- Able to lift 55lbs
- Eligible to work in Canada – (No LMIA Applications)
- Knowledge of winery cellar operating procedures.
