Phantom Creek Estates is a highly anticipated new winery located on the famed Black Sage Bench of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, specializing in single vineyard Bordeaux reds, Alsatian whites, and the Okanagan’s benchmark varieties of Viognier and Syrah from storied vineyard sites. By farming its vineyards with care and precision, Phantom Creek produces wines that celebrate and speak to where they are grown. The winery’s estate vineyards, including the acclaimed Phantom Creek Vineyard, are in transition to organic and biodynamic certification. The winery will complete its second and final phase of construction early next year, with a grand opening scheduled for April 2020.
We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. This full-time, salaried position will be based in the winery on Black Sage Road in Oliver, British Columbia. The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will report to our Director of Sales and Marketing and will assist with all day-to-day sales and marketing operations, including but not limited to, assistance with pricing, marketing and sales support.
The essential functions for the role are:
Marketing Support
· Assist in developing all sales and marketing collateral as well as building presentations for trade, industry groups and senior management
· Assist with tradeshows, events and festivals from sign up to execution
· Offer support in creating trade materials, Tech sheets, portfolio updates, vintage reviews, POS and special projects
Event Planning
· Assist with logistics and itineraries for Market Tours both domestic and internationally
· Liaise with PR Agency for media trips
Wine Club Concierge
· Take a leadership role in driving new memberships to PCE’s Wine Club as well as creating and planning content releases
· Manage and coordinator wine club shipments and initiatives for growth targets
Ecommerce and Telesales
· Compile and distribute sales reports and sales data monthly or as requested
· Liaises with our distribution partners and agencies to support the management of inventory and activations
Planning and Collaboration
· Develop wine club and e-mail marketing schedule based on wine release schedule
· Coordinate with wine making for wine calendar to tie into Agency communication and social media
Skills, Education and Experience required are:
· Completion of WSET Level 2, or equivalent
· Minimum of 3 years related experience; wine industry or applicable experience an asset
· Preference to those who have post-secondary education in Marketing
· Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and Premiere Pro)
· A high level of confidence navigating trade sites within the BCLDB, AGLC, Container World and Liquor Connect
· Exemplary written and interpersonal communication skills
· A natural problem solver who pushes through adversity to complete a goal
