Montalvino Wineries is new family-owned group of 3 boutique wineries spanning from Osoyoos to Naramata. We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a talented individual to join our Team as a Senior Bookkeeper, on a full-time basis.
As the Senior Bookkeeper for Montalvino Wineries Inc, you will be extremely organised, work well under pressure and have a positive attitude. The successful applicant must be able to take direction, but also work independently.
As a detail-orientated and organized professional, you will work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure accurate and up-to-date accounts for all three wineries. You will work with the management team to ensure accuracy and consistency in our internal accounting systems and reporting, to support and inform our continued growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
All functions of Accounts Payable and accounts receivable.
Daily entry of all sales data for all three winery locations.
Management and coordination of all functions of payroll for all departments.
Prepare all relevant reporting for outside bodies, including LDB and excise, ensuring on time submissions.
Management of all monthly government remittance
Accurate posting, reporting and payment of invoices.
Bank and credit card reconciliation.
Work with the Director of Operations to prepare monthly financial reports for the company ownership.
Upkeep of internal reporting including inventory, transfer and product movement and cost of goods
Management and coordination of petty cash and floats each winery location
Year-end duties and communicating with external accounting support.
Data-entry and administrative support, including filing and report management
We are looking for a teammate with:
5+ years of bookkeeping experience
Winery bookkeeping and accounts experiences is essential.
Highly proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft excel
Knowledge of Wine Direct, commerce seven and winemaking/inventory software is an asset
Ability to prioritise, manage workflow to make timely and sound decisions
Strong attention to detail; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
You will have access to the company extended health and dental coverage after 90 days.
