River Stone Estate Winery is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic tasting room associate to join our team. Our tasting room is nestled in the heart of our estate vineyard just North of Oliver and our team and wine is very well known for exceptional quality and service.

 

Reporting to the Tasting Room Supervisor you will focus on creating memorable guest experiences that will leave a lasting positive impression of both River Stone, the team and the Okanagan wine country. 

You are:

• A person with a passion for wine and professional customer service preferably with previous experience in the Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment or ideally in a winery tasting room

• Passionate working with the public, sharing wine and viticultural knowledge in a fun and open manner

• Exceptional at communicating with an ability to multitask while maintaining a "Can Do" attitude and you enjoy working under pressure

• A person who enjoys engaging and entertaining others in a fun and approachable way

• You must be at least 19 years old and hold a valid Serving it right certificate

• Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems

• You must have the legal right to live and work in Canada, be physically fit and strong, and able to lift full cases of wine 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Pouring/selling wines for visitors and guests in our tasting garden 

• Packing wine to fulfill orders

• Encourage visitors to sign up to wine club

• Perform other duties as required

• Perform sales transactions accurately utilizing various technology platforms

• Perform opening and closing duties and cleaning

• Working in a safe manner following all safety protocols and procedures at all times

Job details: 

 

• This is a PART-TIME position, and all applicants must be able and willing to work weekends.

• The position runs from May 2021 to October 31st 2021.

• Previous experience in the wine industry and tasting room would be considered an asset

• You must be at least 19 years old and hold a valid Serving It Right certificate

• FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate is an asset but not required.
