Church and State wines company is look in for a vineyard manager to assist the head winemaker in the vineyards duties.

Church and State wines is in the South Okanagan Valley between Oliver and Osoyoos. The winery is producing around 20 000 cases annually. The vineyards are covering 85 acres with 15 different varietals on 5 different vineyards. The winery is producing premium and ultra premium wines focused on terroirs expressions.

As vineyards manager, you will be working with the head winemaker and will be responsible of the execution of:

-          Vineyards works with a crew of vineyard workers (pruning, tying, suckering, thinning, harvesting…),

-          Irrigation,

-          Tractor works (spray, edging, mowing, …)

-          Maintenance of tools (tractors, sprayers…)

-          Uphold the safe working practices according to work safe BC standard.

The candidate will have:

-          Diploma in viticulture would be an asset

-          Experience in vineyard works and irrigation management,

-          Experience in managing crew and staff,

-          Experience in vineyard mechanical works (operating and maintenance),

-          Valid driver licence,

-          Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and able to work in all weather conditions,

-          Ability to work long hours during peak seasons,

-          Must be legally able to work in Canada,

-          Must be fluent in English and knowledge in Spanish would be an asset.

-          Must be able to work in team and alone,

-          Strong attention to details
