Lakeside Cellars is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Assistant Winemaker to join our team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, passionate winery located on the shores of Lake Osoyoos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of winemaking from crush through to bottling
- Monitor fermentations and perform regular cellar tasks
- Conduct lab analysis and support quality control processes
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records
- Participate in barrel work, sanitation, and general winery upkeep
- Work closely with the winemaker and cellar team
Qualifications:
- Prior winemaking or cellar experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage cellar responsibilities independently without direct supervision
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in varying conditions
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
