Tasting Room Supervisor (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Lakeside Cellars is a new(ish) winery located on the shores of Lake Osoyoos. As viticulturalists first, our winemaking philosophy starts with a healthy, balanced vineyard. We love big, bold reds and complexity that comes from South Okanagan winemaking.

We are looking for a Tasting Room Supervisor to lead and motivate our hospitality team in reaching sales and experience goals.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Supervising the functioning of our hospitality team | Leading our tasting room team in attitude, professionalism, hospitality, communication, and sales.
  • Executing policies set by management | Identifying areas for improved functioning of tasting room. 
  • Leading the tasting room team in achieving sales goals | Working with the management team to set, execute, and achieve sales goals in our tasting room 
  • Generating monthly sales reports | Actively identify areas of improvement 
  • Representing Lakeside Cellar’s core values | Creating and maintaining positive relationships with tour companies, winery guests, and members of our industry 
  • Reconciliating daily cash outs, inventory, and promotional win

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years experience in a supervisory roll 
  • Experience working in tasting rooms 
  • WSET 2 or equivalent 
  • Safely lift 40lbs and work in work on and around ladders, uneven flooring, and in hot, cold and wet environments (outdoors) 
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Flexible schedule during peak season, weekends and holidays. 
  • Must be passionate about wine
