Hillside Winery and Bistro located on the Naramata Bench is well known for its award-winning wines and stunning location. We produce 12,000 cases annually from 100% Naramata Bench grown fruit and our primary market is British Columbia. Unique, small-lot, hand-crafted and terroir-driven are terms best used to describe our wines. Hillside wines display unique and compelling characteristics allowing wine drinkers the opportunity to share in the discovery and development of the Naramata Bench as a collection of serious terroirs.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate is a seasoned marketer who will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic brand sales plan for our portfolio of premium Naramata Bench wines.
As a brand ambassador this individual is passionate, innovative, and self-motivated with a business-oriented, team-development and customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of the annual sales budget and forecasts
- Pricing strategy and analysis
- Sales and distribution strategy
- Sales reporting on all internal and external sales
- Working closely with our agents
- Interprovincial and international sales as opportunities arise
- Overseeing inventory management and logistics on and off site
- Working closely with our Marketing Manager and the Hillside team to drive the execution of our strategic plan
- Other projects and duties as assigned
We are seeking a person who is a self starter with a sense of humour and who is a team player. You have a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and are flexible and open to change. You have proven leadership skills and excel at planning and problem solving.
Other Details:
- This is a full time, on-site, salaried position with benefits
- Post-secondary education degree or diploma required
- Legally able to work in Canada and sell alcoholic beverages
- Minimum 5 years of related sales experience in the Canadian wine industry
- Minimum Level 3 WEST or equivalent
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Professional verbal, written and presentation skills
- Able to travel and attend evening or weekend events
- Valid B.C. Drivers License
