Little Engine Wines is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic energetic candidate who loves working in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment, is consumer-centric and wants to be part of a growing, dynamic winery with lots of task variety.
In coordination with our management team, this position will oversee tasting room associates, carry regular tasting room shifts, work in administration, logistics and shipping. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and passionate ambassador, who will lead by example while upholding and maintaining brand and service standards.

Role & Responsibilities:
· Work 11:00-7:00 from Thursday – Monday each week
· Available for special events
· Provide and take responsibility for a consistent and industry leading customer experience
· Maintain a working knowledge of tasting room POS, menu, products, and procedures
· Assist with hiring and staff recruitment, employee training, development and scheduling
· Assume responsibility for the tasting room’s overall operation with efficiency and efficacy
· Execute staffing decisions based on tasting room traffic patterns and volume of customers
· Sales calls and emails with members and non-members
· Perform opening and closing duties
· Key contributor to maintaining and improving on-site customer experience
· Develop growth plans and constantly offer new initiatives and ideas as part of the leadership team
Skills and Experience Required:
· Leadership, coaching and effective time management skills
· Exceptional and professional customer service skills and appearance
· Prior hospitality, retail, wine or tasting room experience in a leadership role
· Computer, POS, and technology knowledge with attention to detail
· Clear, concise, and direct communication skills
· Delivery of high end, white glove customer service
· Strong conflict resolution skills
· Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for 8 hours per day
Qualifications Required
· Wine Knowledge and experience: WSET 2 or equivalent
