Closson Chase Vineyards is seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to join our small production team for the 2025 harvest.
This a a term position starting September 15th, 2025 until December 1st, 2025.
We are located on Closson Rd. in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be working hand in hand with our Winemaker & Asssistant Winemaker on all aspects of the winemaking process throughout an intense harvest season.
Grape receiving, tracking, traceability of all grapes processed
Equipment setup, operation, and sanitation of all winemaking equipment
Juice/Wine movement. transfers, racking, filtration, barrel filling and stacking
Possibility of some very basic lab work for juice and wine analysis
General winery hygiene and maintenance on tanks, barrels, fermenters, other winery equipment, and the facility as a whole
Eligible Candidates are required to/be:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Adherence to safety and operational procedures and company policies
Ability to lift 25Kg regularly
Able to work in a dynamic fast paced team environment
Ability to problem solve
Communicate effectively with supervisors and others
Ability to work long days and extended hours (>50 hours per week and/or 7 days per week)
Have previous winemaking or harvest or vineyard experience. Not required but is an asset.
Have a valid forklift license would be an asset, however not required.
Ability to speak Spanish would be an asset, however not required
We are located in a rural area and having your own transportion is a necessity.
Shared accomodations is available.
