Summary:

Redtail Vineyard is a young and dynamic winery. Our 25 acre Estate Vineyard, fully replanted in 2019, is located in Prince Edward county, Ontario, Canada. We are a premium winery that focuses on making wines with a sense of place from our Estate grown fruit. Our brand new, state of the art production facility, is ideal for small batch winemaking program with a variety of concrete tanks, concrete eggs, Wooden cask open top fermenters.

At Redtail vineyards we believe in a hands-on approach and minimalist intervention. Our Estate Vineyard is managed with sustainable practices and encourages biodiversity and balance.

We are seeking a motivated Individual for the 2023 season to join the production team as we are excited for the first harvest of Redtail’s own vineyard. Our vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir and Pinot Gris. The production position starts on September 11^th 2023 and ends on October 27^th 2023.

Job Duties

-        Capability to follow direction from the Winemaker and Vineyard Manager

-        Strong communication skills and attention to detail

-        Comply and be sensitive to Health and Safety

-        Vineyard Sampling

-        Work on the crush pad; receiving grapes, pressing, crushing and destemming, cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining equipment

-        Brix and fermentation monitoring

-        Cellar tasks; tank/barrel cleaning and sanitizing, racking, transfers, barreling up and down and blending

-        Ability to work well as part of the team or individually

-        Must have a cooperative attitude and be flexible to changes and work hours

-        Willingness to expand knowledge base and practices

-        Must be prepared to work in all types of weather and temperatures in Southern Ontario

-        Must be able to do physical labor and lift 25 KG

-        Valid driver’s license is required

-        Must be eligible to work in Canada
