Rosehall Run Vineyards is one of the oldest and largest family owned and run wineries in PEC. Our winery focuses on premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay made from grapes grown on our farm. Rosehall Run is outfitted with top-of-the-line equipment and facilities, allowing our seasonal staff to prioritize the work of winemaking Our team is looking for a fun, enthusiastic person that shares our passion for wine to come help during the harvest season. This position is a seasonal, and would full time, plus overtime hours, from September until late November inclusive. There is a possibility of this position transistioning into a permenant, salaried position at the end of this term.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• You will be working directly with our Winemaker on all physical winemaking operations during the busy harvest season.
• Grape receiving. Note taking and tracking.
• Harvest equipment setup, operation, and sanitation
• Juice/Wine movement. transfers, racking, filtration, barrel filling and stacking
• Possibility for some lab work for juice and wine analysis
• General winery hygiene and maintenance on all other tanks, equipment, and facility
Eligible Candidates are required to/be:
• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Adherence to safety and operational procedures
• Ability to lift 25Kg and willing to work both shift hours and extended hours (>50 hours per week)
• Have previous winemaking experience. Not required but is an asset.
• Having a forklift License is not a requirement but is an asset.
