Winemaker (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Individual has strong communication, planning and organizational skills. He or she has the ability to produce high quality wines and ciders. The right individual for this job understands that no responsibility is too small for the success of the business.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage vineyard and cellar
  • Assist in producing and managing budget
  • Oversee vineyard operations
  • Plan and lead harvest & Cellar work
  • Research & Development of new products

 

Team:

  • Report to owner

  • Communicate regularly with outside oenology consultant

  • Oversee vineyard workers

     

 

Specific requirements include:

  • Available August 2020

  • Degree or diploma in oenology

  • Cellar experience including harvest, lab, barrel program, bottling and record keeping

  • Sound knowledge of chemistry and winemaking principles

  • Able to work closely with others

  • Autonomy 

  • Canadian residents or valid work permit Driving license
