Salary: $67,600 per year
POSITION SUMMARY
The Store Manager is responsible for overall store operations, operating results, and for setting and maintaining excellent operating standards.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with the Human Resources and Payroll Administrator to complete the employee lifecycle duties: Interviewing candidates, hiring, training, performance management, disciplinary action, and terminations
- Manages the performance of the Assistant Store Manager
- Ensures the team is meeting excellent customer service standards
- Participates in creation of the 4-week operating budget, summarising and reporting on weekly activities
- Coordinates with the Operations Manager to establish a product price verification schedule
- Orders product (supplementing the Head Buyer’s special deal purchases) and breaks down all purchasing into categories, assigning categories of responsibility to Team Members
- Coordinates with Operations Manager and Head Buyer to ensure all products are merchandised in a clear and imaginative manner
- Ensures that all product received has been signed in and stored in accordance with company policy
- Completes and posts the store schedule according to budgeted hours and staff availability, submitting a copy to the Administration Office
- Oversees and assists with store inventory counts
- Ensures that total store operation is kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times
- Supports the Training and Development Coordinator in training new hires when necessary
OTHER RELATED DUTIES
- Assists the Head Buyer in monitoring inventory levels and product variety
- Assists with cross coverage to ensure store supervision is sufficient for maintaining customer service levels and budgeted labour productivity levels
- Exhibit commitment to improving leadership skills
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have Serving It Right certification
- Minimum 3+ years management experience
- Minimum 2+ years liquor retail experience
- Proficiency in managing and delegating to staff
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Standing/moving for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- 1 weekend day and 1 closing per month
- Lifting and/or carrying merchandise up to 25lbs on a frequent basis
- Seasonal vacation blackout periods:
- March, November, late July for inventory counts
- December for operational needs for the busy month
- Working busy stat holidays
