Liquor Division Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Reporting to the Operations Director, Business to Consumer, responsibilities for this position include the following: 
1. Strategic Planning and Execution: Understands the organization’s strategic plan, provides input into the division’s plan, ensures alignment of individual goals to the division plan, monitors and reports on progress of the division plan, explains the alignment between the division and organizational plans, and speaks to individual goal alignment.
2. Operational Management: Collaborates with the Director of Operations (B2C), to annually develop and continuously manage the Liquor division’s goals and scorecard in support of Saskatoon Co-op’s strategic plan, values, vision and mission. 
3. Talent Management & Team Leadership: Leads their teams within the parameters of the CBA and Saskatoon Co-op polices and guidelines. Practices full cycle talent management - talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management including communicating clear performance expectations, coaching and mentoring, development planning, and driving employee engagement by implementing strategies to promote a positive employee work experience. 
4. Financial Management: Leads and develops the division level budget. Works with the team to review financial reports.  Requests variance explanations and adjustments within the prescribed timelines to minimize loss and obtain profitability and oversees the compilation of such information for the division. 
5. Marketing, Procurement & Supplier Relations: Leads marketing, advertising, communications and sponsorship decisions for the Liquor Division in alignment with Saskatoon Co-op’s brand image. 
6. Analytics: Supports the Location Managers on relevant location level data to measure targets and analyze results, such as sales and productivity, shrink, inventory, margin, productivity.
7. Internal Working Relationships: Develops and fosters strong working relationships with others across multiple internal departments to exchange, report and present information, advise and collaborate on complex issues and solutions, including members of the SLT, SMT and other stakeholders, for the purpose of achieving the best outcomes for Saskatoon Co-op. 
8. Safety (and Environmental) Stewardship: Ensures divisional compliance with Saskatoon Co-op’s Safety Policies and government regulations (OHS committee meetings, fire drills, and operator’s certification). 
 
Qualifications:
• Candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business. Alternatively, a grade 12 education with applicable Retail/Liquor experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years in Retail Store Operations Management, with 5+ years of proven leadership skills and competencies.
• Valid Serving it Right Certification, WSET Level 3 Certificate
