Montalvino Wineries is new family-owned group of 3 boutique wineries (High Note Estate Winery, Uppercase Winery, and Gadzook Winery) spanning from Oliver to Naramata. We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a talented individual to join our Team as a Hospitality and Wine Club Manager on a full-time basis.
Job Description:
You will be at the forefront of creating extraordinary experiences for our valued guests and club members. Proficiency in data management and the use of CRM winery software, preferably WineDirect and Clover, will enable you to streamline administrative tasks and enhance overall efficiency. As a detail-oriented professional, you will efficiently manage club shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The Hospitality Manager will work closely with, and report to, the Director of Marketing to execute the marketing calendar as it relates to the on-site sales and special events. They will also collaborate on the vision for the brand presentation and assist in the development of policies for the presentation to the guests.
Responsibilities:
· Hiring/training/scheduling of staff and communicating policies for the smooth operations of all three wine shops
· To provide leadership to the retail staff in the presentation of the wines
· Communicating any necessary repairs or maintenance required for the operations of the wine shops
· Communicating feedback and reception of the guest experience for continued development and improvement
· Maintaining and developing relationships with our Wine Club Members, including processing payment and coordinating shipping of the Wine Club shipment (3 times per year)
· Working with the General Manager to create policies and procedures to adhere with Montalvino Wineries best practices and standards
· Keeping record of and update relevant documents for the retail staff, such as New Employee Forms, Serving it Right Certifications, Worksafe BC, etc
· Ensuring we are serving responsibly and adhering to the regulations outlined in our licensing
· Monitoring and assisting in reordering and restocking tasting room inventory, including but not limited to wine, provisions, collateral, and reporting any deficiencies
Preferred Qualifications/skills:
· Minimum 2 years experience in a comparable role, with DTC sales or Wine Club management as a huge asset
· Ability to multitask and complete duties, projects, and tasks with minimal supervision
· Passionate and competitive about leading the team to meet goals
· Strong verbal and written communication both with customer service, the team, and management
· Impeccable organizational skills
· Experience with WineDirect, Clover, Tock, and Square
$59,000-$67,000 annually, based on experience. Benefits after 3 months.
