Montalvino Wineries is new family-owned group of 3 boutique wineries (High Note Estate Winery, Uppercase Winery, and Gadzook Winery) spanning from Oliver to Naramata. We are a small, fun team that is passionate about all things wine and we’re looking for friendly and reliable tasting room associates to join us! Applicants must have a flexible schedule with weekend and holiday availability throughout the summer. Previous wine shop experience is a bonus, but we are happy to train the right person.

 

High Note Estate Winery is a new winery that is just about to open on the Naramata bench. With a nod to the past and a strong sense of place, it focuses on premium, small lot Italian style wines.

 

Uppercase Winery is a casual and relaxed winery that has just moved into our new permanent (lake view!) home in OK Falls. We are passionate about South Okanagan terroir and its ability to produce exceptional, world-class wines.

 

Gadzook Winery is a fun and approachable winery specializing in exuberant, bold wines that uniquely express the South Okanagan.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Opening/closing the wineshop

·       Greeting guests in person, by phone, or by email in a warm and friendly manner

·       Creating a positive and educational experience for each guest

·       Encouraging guests to join our wine club

·       Performing tastings and answering questions about the wines, including our overall brand story

·       Packing up online and club orders

·       Maintaining a clean and organized wineshop

·       Assisting with special winery events

 

Requirements:

·       Up to date Serving It Right

·       Must be of legal age to serve alcohol

·       Must be able to lift 40 pounds (a case of wine) and stand for extended periods of time

·       Good communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       A passion for BC wine

·       Experience with POS systems (WineDirect, Commerce7, or Square)

·       Local industry knowledge

 

 

$20 per hour to start, plus tips and other incentives.
