Ramification Cellars is seeking an experienced, energetic, and driven individual to be the winery’s inaugural Tasting Room Manager.

 About the Company:

Ramification Cellars is a new, quality-focused Okanagan estate winery located on the shore of a pristine freshwater lake. The seven-acre estate vineyard is a prime viticulture site that benefits from a unique combination of geology, climate and geography. The property extends from wetlands and riparian thickets to the surrounding arid terraces and rugged hillsides, home to Canada’s highest species diversity

The position: 

The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of its busy tasting room. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the winery tasting room and is responsible for driving tasting room revenue, wine club membership and enhancing the overall guest experience.

This is a hands-on selling position where the candidate will be highly skilled at sales and customer service and balancing the delivery of a gracious experience for all guests with effective sales techniques.

 

The position is also responsible of:

·         Meeting targeted sales goal

·         Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service

·         Staff hiring, onboarding and training

·         Online marketing and sales

Qualifications:

To be considered for he position, you must possess the following:

·         A minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail or hospitality management is an asset. A bachelor’s degree and wine credentials are preferred.  

·         Exceptional wine knowledge and experience with the sale of luxury wines, hospitality and events, wine club, and tasting room oversight/management.

·         Being a consummate team player with a genuine enthusiasm to share your passion for wine.

·         Knowledge of (POS platform TBD) is desired, though training is available.

·         Highly organized and efficient, with excellent spoken and written English skills.

·         Intermediate computer skills; experience with CRM or another database system.

·         Must be at least 19 years of age with a clean driving record and active driver’s license

·         Knowledge of provincial liquor licensing and legal compliance issues related to the operation of a wine retail and tasting room

·         Capable of performing moderate physical activities including standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and carrying. Requires lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.

·         Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule including weekends, some holidays and evenings as necessary
