We are looking to hire 2 Harvest Cellar Hands (Contract) to work up to 60 hours per week – 10 hours a day, 6 days a week from September to end-October/mid-November; Potential to lead to full-time employment for the right candidate. Regular hours after harvest are 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday.
Duties:
-Cleaning and sterilizing winery equipment and tank
-Performing pump-overs/punch-downs, red fermentation drain and pressing, and racking
-Inoculations, juice/fermentation/wine additions
-Maintain a safe, clean and organized cellar
Requirements:
-Interest in wine industry
-Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
-Good attitude and communication skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to work at heights
-Ability to lift 25kgs
Hourly wage according to education and experience
