Assistant Winemaker

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Winemaker in all aspects of production, from harvest to bottling
- Perform cellar tasks such as racking, pumping, filtering, and cleaning
- Operate crush and press equipment during harvest
- Monitor and manage fermentation as needed
- Emptying, cleaning, filling and topping barrels.
- Conduct lab analyses to ensure wine quality
- Assist in blending and bench trails to produce quality wine
- Prepare wines for bottling and assist on bottling line
- Maintain accurate records of all cellar activities
Qualifications and Attribute:
- The successful candidate will be reliable, organized, hardworking, and have good time management skills.
- Great communication skills, a positive attitude, an attention to detail
- The successful candidate must also be able and willing to work long hours during harvest.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Degree or Diploma in Enology preferred
- Wine production experience an asset
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
