Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was established with our first vintage in 1988. At that time we were one of a very few estate wineries dedicated to producing premium quality wines made from 100% Ontario grown grapes. Today, Henry of Pelham is a 200K+ case producer in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula.

 

Job Summary

Henry of Pelham is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team for the 2020 harvest (approx. Late-August to end of November). The ability to evaluate, problem solve, and follow direction are central components to winery production.  Ideal candidates will have familiarity with basic lab analysis, preferably in a winery environment.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Processing and analysis of pre-harvest and harvest grape samples

  • Running wine and juice samples across the Oenofoss as well as some basic wet chemical analysis

  • Malo-lactic fermentation monitoring

  • Data entry using the  Winemakers Database program

  • Fining trials on juices and wines as directed by winemaking team

     

 Eligibility Requirements:

 

  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

  • Previous work experience is an asset though not required

  • Education in Oenology is an asset though not required

  • Willing to work shift hours and extended hours during harvest
