Job Description:
As a Winery Equipment Service Technician for Nuance you will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of equipment in the wine industry in Ontario. As a self-motivated, problem solver, you will coordinate both internal equipment maintenance and external clients’ service needs. You will also work closely with the Nuance team and its suppliers, to support the business initiatives and help to improve its functions.
Responsibilities:
· On-site equipment installation, commissioning and training
· Support and maintenance of Nuance service equipment
· Electronic-mechanical troubleshooting, repair and or modification
· Address customers’ operational problems and help to optimize performance of equipment
· Development and implement service schedules for company and client equipment
· Foster customer relationships and pursue new business
· Collaborate with sales team to maintain, develop and expand customer base
· Accurate reporting/administration
· Implementation of safe work practices
Core Requirements:
· Two or more years of experience with automated systems or other related fields
· Hand and power tool skills, including soldering
· Familiar with 3 phase power & industrial control systems
· Understanding of PLCs, HMIs and IO in an industrial environment, or willingness to learn
· Able to read, understand and modify IEC documentation
· Experience with computer networking, or willingness to learn
· G Class license with a clean driving record
· Must be legally eligible to live and work in Canada
Additional competencies:
· Experience in winery, farming or manufacturing related industries
· Knowledge or experience of machining and fabrication
· Understanding of food compatible materials and certifications
· Experience of PLC programming
· Knowledge of electronic design, microprocessor programming
· Forklift Certification
· Ability to communicate in French and/or Italian
· Willingness and ability to travel abroad occasionally
· First Aid
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The position includes access to company health and benefits package.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in varied locations, often with restricted accessibility. You will occasionally be required to stand; walk; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The duties of this job occasionally require maneuvering in tight spaces and lift up to 80lbs.
