Winery Service Technician (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

As a Winery Service Technician for Nuance you will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of equipment, and support of the mobile service division. As a self-motivated problem solver, you will coordinate both internal equipment maintenance and external clients’ service needs. You will also work closely with the Nuance team and its suppliers to support the business initiatives and help to improve its functions.

Resposiblities:

  • On-site equipment installation, commissioning and training
  • Support and maintenance of Nuance service equipment and facility        
  • Electronic-mechanical troubleshooting, repair and/or modification
  • Address customers’ operational problems and help to optimize performance of equipment
  • Develop and implement service schedules for company and client equipment
  • Foster customer relationships and pursue new business for the technical support and maintenance division of the company
  • Collaborate with sales team to maintain, develop and expand customer base
  • Support the sales team by providing accurate understanding of new equipment installation requirements
  • Accurate reporting/administration of daily activities
  • Implementation of safe work practices

Core Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience with automated systems or other related fields
  • Hand and power tool skills, including soldering
  • Familiar with 3 phase power & industrial control systems
  • Understanding of PLCs, HMIs and IO in an industrial environment, or willingness to learn
  • Experience with computer networking, or willingness to learn
  • G Class license  with clean driving record
  • Must be legally eligible to live and work in Canada

Additional Competencies:

  • Experience in winery, farming or manufacturing related industries
  • Knowledge or experience of machining or fabrication
  • Understanding of food compatible materials and certifications
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to communicate in French and/or Italian is an asset
  • Willingness and ability to travel abroad occasionally

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in varied locations, often with restricted accessibility. You will occasionally be required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch or crawl. The duties of this job occasionally require maneuvering in tight spaces and lifting of up to 80lbs.

$60,000 / year or based on experience
