Wine Geek – Tasting Experience

Leaning Post Wines is looking for experienced, wine educated professionals to guide our wine-loving guests through the magical vineyards of Niagara.
The right candidate must:
§ Have a strong wine education, Certified Sommelier, WSET 3 or equivalent.
§ Friendly, fun, and bursting to share your wine knowledge
§ A people person who strives to custom an outstanding experience to guests
§ Professional, focused, and punctual
§ Plays well with others, is curious, keeps busy & multi-tasks
§ Level-headed, easy-going, performs calmly & steadily in fast-paced environments
§ Ready & able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays & some evenings
§ Ability to lift/carry 40lb wine cases, stand & move for 8+ hours
§ A G-licensed driver
§ Smart Serve certified and age 19+
§ Excited to work at multiple venues (ie. farmers markets, off-site events...)
As an official LP Wine Geek, you will need to:
§ Guide our guests through our tasting experience, offering educated insight about all things LP and Niagara.
§ Stock shelves, clean, organize & maintain a clean, clutter-free and organized space.
§ Assist with minor but hands-on part of winemaking, such as bottling, labeling, harvesting and well, winemaking!
§ Assist with preparing and shipping orders
§ Be part of a fantastic, homey team with thirst for knowledge and hands on experience.
§ And ultimately, HAVE FUN! Enjoy the journey, the learning and the teaching!
It is considered an asset:
§ Previous experience in a retail environment
§ Previous experience with hospitality
§ Knowledge of Niagara VQA wines and wineries
§ French language
§ Likes Bon Jovi
