Based in Summerland, British Columbia, the heart of the Okanagan Valley’s winemaking region, Dirty Laundry Vineyard, is a fasted paced, fun exciting production facility, with lots of room and plans to grow. Over the next few years Dirty Laundry Vineyard has strategies in place to purchase new equipment and install new infrastructure to meet our growing production needs.  With the Assistant Winemakers help, we will shape the winery to meet our production demands and award-winning winemaking style.

Reporting into the Winemaker, the Assistant Winemaker will assist in all aspects of winemaking and grape growing, from grape pruning through to bottling.  While maintaining quality through out the process.

 

What you do:

·         Carry out all cellar duties.

·         Perform vineyard analysis and help coordinate with vineyard manager to improve vineyard practices.

·         Perform all laboratory analysis as needed.

·         Coordinate work tickets and manage the Vintrace production software.

·         Evaluate wines on a regular basis and report to the Winemaker.

·         Maintain the winery safety program.

·         Participate in offsite activities to help promote our wines

 

What we need:

·         Diploma or degree in Science, B.Sc Oenology and Viticulture or Food Science or Equivalent winery experience.

·         Experience in cellar operations as well knowledge of safety programs.

·         Ability to, multi task and communicate effectually to a team under pressure in a fast-paced winery environment.

·         Winery leadership experience with attention to details and wine quality.

·         “Wine is fun” so a good character and love of the craft.

Compensation will be in the form of an annual salary based on experience
