Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Okanagan Crush Pad (OCP) in Summerland, BC is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our team. OCP is a 40,000-case facility that is home to Haywire, Narrative, Bizou+Yukon, and Free Form wines. The winery is committed to minimal intervention winemaking, using certified organic grapes. OCP prides itself on its innovations and leadership position within the BC wine industry.

We are looking for a dynamic individual that is a critical thinker and problem solver that works well on their own and within a team environment. Year-round position. 24 - 32hrs per week. Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Invoicing
  • Coding and data entry of sales documents and expense invoices
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
  • Assist Order Desk and Accounting/HR Manager as needed
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Filing/faxing/email
  • Manage general office enquiries
  • Ensure adequate office supplies
  • Sort incoming/outgoing mail
  • Import Sales/payments into accounting program 

Qualifications of the successful candidate:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in bookkeeping and/or assisting accounting or administrative background
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online & Microsoft Office (specifically excel) 
  • Organized & detail oriented
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Proficient in multi-tasking & meeting deadlines
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive, professional attitude

Hours: 24-32hrs per week.
