Market Research Analyst
Silkscarf Winery is a premium artisanal winery operating from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. As we continue to grow, we are looking to export our sustainably produced products to Mediterranean markets and are looking to hire a Market Research Analyst.
The Market Research Analyst will facilitate the development of investment and business opportunities in foreign markets and develop relations with targeted markets. Silkscarf Winery seeks a professional with excellent communication skills and proven research and analysis expertise to facilitate these activities with the wine industry in target markets.
Responsibilities
· Research foreign markets to asses export opportunities for sustainably produced wine.
· Develop social and economic profiles of markets to encourage investment and development.
· Design and conduct surveys and focus groups in local, regional or national areas to evaluate market potential and consumer trends.
· Conduct comparative research on wine marketing strategies.
· Prepare reports, research papers, promotional texts, and articles.
· Build a business relationship in local communities of foreign markets.
· Define requirements and marketing strategies for sustainably produced wines.
· Evaluate customer service and store environments in target markets.
· Plan and produce product launch and community outreach events and coordinate activities with representatives of a wide variety of commercial enterprises, community and business associations, as well as government agencies.
· Oversee the design and production of print, digital, and physical elements in support of a marketing plan.
Requirements
· A Master’s degree in marketing, social science, public administration or related fields.
· Minimum two-year work experience as a Market Researcher.
· Experience in international relations.
· Effective communicator.
· Availability for regular travel, including internationally.
· At least one-year experience working in a winery setting: vineyard, cellar, and wine shop.
· Professional wine certifications: WSET-1 and 'BC-Serve It Right'.
· Excellent English speaking and writing skills (please provide IELTS scores if applying internationally).
Additional helpful Qualifications Include:
· Familiarity in managing budgets or openness to learning budgeting.
· Background in viticulture or environment sustainability theories and implementation.
· Design experience (for the production of web, print, digital, and physical design).
Salary $4100 a month plus a negotiated performance bonus.
