Tasting Room Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Solvero Wines is the newest winery addition to Summerland. Uniquely situated in Garnet Valley, the tasting room opened in 2024 and is focused on producing premium cool climate pinot noir and chardonnay.

We are looking for a self-motivated, outgoing and enthusiastic individual that has a passion for great wines paired with excellent customer service to manage the tasting room for 

Job Description:

  • Engage with the guests on a one-on-one basis, educating and telling our winery story in an effective and dynamic way through tastings and sales
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the tasting room including maintaining wine & merchandise levels, POS system use, organization & cleanliness
  • Enthusiasm, in a professional manner, for promoting wine sales & our wine club
  • Discerning the appropriateness of serving wine samples in regard to pour sizes, patron’s legal age and sobriety 

Qualifications:

  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Solid wine knowledge – WSET considered an asset
  • Must be able to lift 40 lb cases of wine - Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Professional attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Holds a Serving it Right certificate and is 19+ years of age.
  • Available to work weekends and public holidays

 

Time Period:  Mid-July – September 2025. Shifts include weekends

We offer competitive compensation with an hourly wage plus wine allowance
