JOB SUMMARY
This role is primarily responsible for providing outstanding customer service and to be able to help consumers choose precisely and exactly what is desired from thousands of products. This role also expects cashier, shelf stocking, and shelf organizing duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform accurate and timely cashier functions, including scanning and entering sales transactions, basic mathematical computations, making change and handling cash.

Perform required ID checks on customers and notifies management of violations, concerns, etc.

Comply with all regulations regarding sales transactions and established procedures.

Seek and recommend ways to improve customer service.

Restock shelves and fill coolers with new merchandise.

Perform periodic inventory of stock on hand.

Assist customers in a selection of various brands of liquors, wines, etc., advises on quantity of purchases for special occasions, and helps customers with carry-outs.

Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Be at least 19 years of age

Be able to legally work in Canada

Be able to work weekdays, evenings and weekend shifts

Be able to provide excellent customer service
-
Be able to work positively within a team environment
-
Be able to demonstrate aptitude for cashier and related duties, including calculations
-
Have a valid SIR
-
Experience in operating a cash register and gathering change.

Experience in retail sales.

Preference will be given to candidates with WSET (preferably level 3)

Preference will be given to candidates who speak dual languages
WORKING CONDITIONS
-
Work in the store requires frequent bending and long periods of standing or walking.

This is a position that requires to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 20-25 kg boxes
Initial compensation: $18 an hour
Will adjust if candidate is suitable for floor supervisor/manager roles
