As the Winery Hospitality Supervisor, you will be working with the Winery Hospitality Manager to build and lead the team in delivering exceptional tasting experiences in a busy and unique tasting room and restaurant. Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for leading direct sales from the wineries, guest experience programs, food service operations, and special events for all ENCORE properties.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Position Requirements include:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Food Services, Restaurant Management, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum 3 years winery and/or restaurant experience
- Possess a passion for wine and the winemaking process
- Must be a team player and possess "can do" leadership attitude
- Must be highly motivated, self starter and willing to take direction from senior management
- Previous experience in hiring, training, supervising and scheduling employees
- Proven track record of creating exceptional guest service experiences
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Understanding of social media platforms, trends and opportunities an asset
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Ability to develop, implement, motivate the team to achieve sales goals
- Must be able to work weekends, some evenings and some holidays
- Must possess a passion of wine and the wine making process
- Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft office)
- Must be able to conduct basic accounting functions
- Formal wine education an asset (WSET, etc)
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly
