Job Summary:

The Sales Representative is responsible for selling Stem Wine Group’s excellent selection of wines, spirits and beers to new and existing customers.  The incumbent will inherit an existing client portfolio and grow our sales presence in Toronto and the surrounding areas. This person will be responsible for maintaining alignment with overall company strategy and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service, sales, problem solving, organizational, relationship and communication skills. This position will report to the Owner and General Manager but work closely with all members of the team.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·        Manage existing account roster, including accounts receivables

·        Opening new accounts and gaining new points of distribution in the established territory

·        Create, build and maintain positive relationships with clients

·        Present the portfolio at events, client tastings & staff trainings

·        Participation in company or producer hosted events, which may occur outside of regular business hours from time to time

·         Responsible for reporting weekly logs to the General Manager and Owner

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:

·        Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Sales Role, in the same or related industry

·        Post-secondary school completion, wine certification preferred

·        Familiarity with Stem Wine Group’s product portfolio considered an asset

·        Must be a team player who is willing to lend a hand, share expertise, contribute ideas and foster positive relationships with colleagues

·        Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

·        High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism

·        Self-motivated, results driven and proven sales ability

·        Ability to develop solutions and make decisions independently or as a team

·        Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment

·        Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel

·        Hold a valid, unimpeded Ontario driver’s license and have daily access to an insured vehicle

·        Must be able to lift & carry 40lbs/18kgs
