Area Sales Representative (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Les Grands Chais de France (GCF), the largest French wine exporter in the world, is recruiting an Area Sales Representative based in Toronto or Ottawa. GCF produces in the majority of France's wine regions, as well as in other popular regions of the world. Exports represent more than 80% of the global turnover and Canada is a priority market ranking in the Top 10 of countries we export to. In view of its international success, GCF is expanding its sales operations within CANADA though HEKTARS Agence Inc.

Your mission will be to develop our sales & brand image through LCBO retail stores by participating in the achievement of yearly sales objectives in the market.

This role will include sales objectives at LCBO store level such as:

·        Increasing distribution of our core products

·        Managing listings (increasing orders in relation to promotional calendar and daily minimums)

·        Accelerating shelf sell-through

·        Securing discretionary placement in stores

·        Performing staff tastings and occasional consumer tastings

·        Following up the implementation of paid programs

Other task will involve:

·        Tracking and reporting, both weekly and monthly to the Regional Sales Manager

·        Organizing and planning your workload and travels, stay overs.

·        Filling in travel expenses monthly with internal software.  

Qualifications & Experience:

·        Require a strong selling experience within the wines and spirits business in the Canadian market or comparable sales experience with other retailers.

·        Wine knowledge preferred

 

·        Knowledge of the LCBO and relationships with key contacts preferred

·        Proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship building skills is required

 

·        Strong negotiation skills

·        Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence

·        Goal oriented, focused and assertive individual

·        Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of registration and insurance, and a clean driving record.

·        Comfortable with IT tools and EZfocus, Excel

·        Must have flexible work schedules.

·        May require frequent lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45 lbs.
