Cellar Manager (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

We are looking for someone to assist and manage our wine storage facility in the Leaside neighborhood of Toronto. The Cellar Manager will assume the role of lead hand, for any tasks associated with the maintaining the operations and organization of the wine vault. Inventory, shipping & receiving, deposit & withdrawal of orders and pick up/delivery, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including lifting to 50 lbs./ 23 kg, regularly bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time, navigating ladders and working in 12 C/55 F degree environment
• Solid work ethic and commitment to work in safe, accurate and professional manner
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, outlook programs and knowledgeable in database programs
• Valid and Full G driver’s license
• Experience driving commercial delivery van
• A “Can Do” attitude with the ability to work in high pressure situations
• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to maintain calendars and schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly

General Duties

• Process and package all shipping from one case to multiple pallet orders
• Receive storage shipments and ensure prompt and proper placement in vault
• Manage, maintain, monitor and organize physical inventories in three different locations
• Accurately pick and pack outgoing client wine orders
• Pack and transport clients’ wine as needed
• Build multiple case orders and custom shipments at warehouse using online program and maintain documentation of orders
• Build orders for outside of Canada shipments using specific shipping and documentation instructions
• Build large custom pallet orders and arrange shipping with various carriers
• Manage all inventory documentation and reconciliation for warehouse inventory
• Communicate any inventory related items with administration and work together to resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe workspace in all locations
