Licensee Sales Representative – Toronto based (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Rogers & Company, Château, Villa & Estate Wines is a leading importer of premium wines into Ontario. Based in Toronto, we are a family owned and operated business since 1984. We have introduced and established markets for some of the world’s greatest wine estates with a focus on wines from California, Italy, and France. We continue to seek out special wineries and producers of other alcoholic beverages from around the world as we grow our business.

 

Driven by a passionate and knowledgeable team, we are looking to add a like-minded individual as a full time licensee sales representative. You would report directly to the Director of Sales and collaborate on sales strategies, marketing activities and help to identify and leverage market trends.

 

Responsibilities include:

- Grow and foster relationships with restaurants and bottle shops in a defined territory

- Quickly gain a good working knowledge of each producer in our portfolio and an ability to passionately articulate key points on each wine

- Provide wine educational training to customers through tastings and events

- Create, prioritize and pre-plan your own schedule

- Work collaboratively with the rest of the sales and office team

- Represent the company at trade shows as required.

Requirements

- Must be enthusiastic about wines from California, Italy and France

- WSET level 3 (or higher) or CMS certification required

- Previous wine sales experience would be an asset

- Knowledge of the Toronto dining scene and to stay current with new openings / opportunities

- Self-motivated and comfortable making cold calls

- Open to receiving feedback to grow in the position and contribute to the success of the company long term

- Occasional need to work weekends and holidays, etc. as client requests require

- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English

- Ability to lift/move a case of wine

- Computer literate

- Smart Serve Certified

 

Compensation

100% Commission, health benefits after 6 months.
