Wine Sales & Key Account Representative (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Woodman Wines & Spirits is seeking a self-motivated and organized Wine Sales & Key Account Representative to actively identify, secure and grow licensee sales and industry relationships in downtown Toronto and the GTA.   The successful candidate will maximize sales through effective planning, communications and account management. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Accountable for sales results and targets in assigned downtown Toronto and GTA territory

·  Maximize sales and product placements across on-trade accounts for General List, Vintages, and Consignment brands

· Plan and execute a daily call schedule across downtown Toronto and the GTA, including establishing new accounts and managing existing ones

·   Achieve sales targets by building credible, long-term relationships and soliciting new business to drive revenue and volume

· Develop and maintain accounts including restaurants, bottle shops, event venues, hotels, private clubs, and private labels

·   Conduct outreach activities including sales calls, tastings, follow-ups, and educational seminars

·     Train on-premise staff through product tastings and educational sessions

·   Organize and manage field days and events for visiting suppliers

·    Promote the agency’s portfolio through in-person meetings, tastings, and industry events

·     Coordinate supplier visits, meetings, itineraries, and special events as needed

·       Monitor and report on competitor activity, providing actionable insights

·       Manage business expenses and A+P budgets with fiscal responsibility

·  Support festivals, supplier/account dinners, and special events as required

·   Host fine wine events with suppliers and top-tier customers

· Stay current on wine industry trends and developments

 

Management and Administrative Responsibilities

· Submit monthly planning and mapping of achievements

·       Participation in supplier and trade events, including occasional evenings and weekends as required

 

Desired Skills and Experience

·       Solid wine knowledge and appreciation is essential e.g., WSET, CSW, Sommelier certification)

·       2 - 5 years sales experience within alcohol beverage industry;

·       Sales strength with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·       Must have reliable and appropriate transportation and driver’s license;

·       Proficient in PC, iPad and MS Office Skills

·       Fluency in other languages such as Italian, French and Spanish will be given additional consideration

·       Smart Serve Certified
