We are looking for a proactive person to join our team as a Territory Sales Manager servicing the greater Vancouver area including Government, private stores and restaurants.
You will have the opportunity to work with outstanding wines and a passionate and supportive team. This position offers flexibility in schedule and will require some evening and weekend events.
Requirements for this position:
- Supports the vision and core values of our corporate culture.
- Self-starter and organized. Works well in both team environments and on their own, holding high standards for the territory.
- Has a track record of setting achievable yet challenging goals and reaching set targets.
- Develop and maintain a regular route call plan for all channels and accounts in the territory to work most efficiently.
- Build trust and loyalty with teammates, store managers, buyers and key staff at accounts.
- Maintain and increase product distribution by working with existing accounts and cold-calling new accounts where applicable.
- Build long-term relationships with managers at restaurants to achieve listings and features of products by-the-glass and by the bottle.
- Address conflict in a direct, yet non-contentious manner to ensure open and constructive resolve.
- Organize and execute product training sessions, often with you as the trainer.
- Full‐time access to a reliable vehicle and a valid and unimpeded B.C. Driver’s License
- Valid passport.
Further Considerations and Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
- Wine & Spirits Education is an asset
- “Serving It Right” Certification.
- Candidate must have a current valid driver’s license.
- Candidate should exhibit a passion for fine wine and a solid understanding of the luxury wine business.
- The candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and be able to demonstrate use in business presentations.
- Proven track and relationships in trade in British Columbia is important.
- Candidate should reside in Vancouver and surrounding areas and have Canadian citizenship.
- Ability to lift 45 lb. cases.
