We are a leading luxury iconic winery expanding our Canadian team. We take a hands-on approach to our winemaking and presence in each market. If you are a passionate, goal-oriented, self-starter with high standards, then this may be the perfect position for you!
We are looking for a dynamic person to join our team as Territory Sales Manager servicing the greater Vancouver area including Government and private stores as well as restaurants. May require cold calling at times.
You will have the opportunity to work with outstanding wines, a passionate and supportive team, and a multigeneration family business. This position will require some evenings and weekends for events and occasional international travel.
Requirements for this position:
- Supports the vision and core values of our corporate culture.
- Self-starter and organized. Works well both independently and in a team environment.
- Has a track record of setting achievable yet challenging goals and reaching set targets.
- Develop and maintain a regular route call plan for all channels and accounts in the territory to work most efficiently.
- Build trust and loyalty with teammates, store managers, buyers and key staff at accounts. (Supplier of choice status)
- Maintain and increase product distribution by working with existing accounts and cold-calling new accounts where applicable.
- Build long-term relationships with managers at restaurants to achieve listings and features of products by-the-glass and by the bottle
- Address conflict in a direct, yet non-contentious manner to ensure open and constructive resolve.
- Organize and execute product training sessions, often with you as the trainer.
- Full‐time access to a reliable vehicle and a valid and unimpeded B.C. Driver’s License
- Valid passport
Further Considerations and Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
- Wine & Spirits Education is an asset.
- “Serving It Right” Certification
- Candidate should exhibit a passion for fine wine and a solid understanding of the luxury wine business.
- The candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and be able to demonstrate use in business presentations.
- Proven track and relationships in trade in British Columbia is an asset.
- Candidate should reside in Vancouver and surrounding areas and have Canadian citizenship.
- Ability to lift 45 lb. cases.
