CoBees is one of the fastest growing wine & liquor agencies in Western Canada. Founded in 2010, CoBees quickly established itself as one of the leading agencies in the Korean spirit category and has only continued to grow its position. Since 2020 the portfolio has quickly grown to include a diverse range of wines from over 33 different producers from 9 different countries. With products in both the ultra premium and entry level price points, CoBees maintains a diverse network of relationships from fine dining to neighborhood liquor stores.
Driven by a passionate and knowledgeable team, we are looking to add a like minded individual as a full time sales representative. You would report directly to the portfolio manager and collaborate on sales strategies, marketing activities and market trends. Because we are a small team you will have a say in decision making and have an opportunity to grow into a larger role within the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with private liquor stores and restaurants in the greater Vancouver area.
- Maintaining a deep knowledge for each producer in the portfolio and an ability to passionately articulate the key points on each wine in the portfolio.
- Maintain close communication with the portfolio manager and other sales personnel to effectively divide labour and discuss market trends.
- Plan and execute tastings and providing a professional and passionate representation of the presented wineries
- Contributions to social media presence and other marketing activities
- Attend festivals, trade shows as required
Requirements
- Access to a reliable car and a valid driving licence with a clean record
- High school diploma is required - Post secondary education preferred
- A strong understanding of wine and the industry - WSET or CMS certifications considered an asset
- Microsoft office skills
- Ability to occasionally work weekends, holidays when the event schedule requires
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written english. Second languages are considered an asset.
- Ability to regularly lift/move 40 pounds
- Self motivated attitude, with a mindset to take feedback and grow in the position and contribute to the success of the company long term.
Salaried position (based on experience) with sales based incentive. Includes car allowance, benefits package, and business expenses coverage.
