Assistant Brand Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

SUMMARY:

The Assistant Brand Manager assists Portfolio Managers, in the national development of their brand strategies across Canada. The incumbent works very closely with sales and marketing teams in each region, and acts as the liaison between brand representatives and Select Wines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recommends and builds brand strategies for all regions across Canada adhering to each Provincial laws and legislation

• Creates annual marketing plans staying within the designated annual brand budget

• Manages and drives below the line activities and budgets (promotions, POS, merchandising, on-trade activities)

• Completes business analysis on brand including tracking sales, distribution prices and promotions to identify risks and opportunities

• Creates business reports and presentations with a clear objective of identifying any opportunities to develop overall business

• Coordinates national sales requests and promotions with each region

• Promptly and accurately responds to requests from global team

• Assists in brand training, education and awareness to all staff

• Coordinates listing process of new products and packs

• Employee may be asked to perform other ancillary or related duties as required, to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Post-Secondary degree or diploma in related field such as Business Administration or Marketing  

• 3-5 years of related work experience

• Robust Microsoft Office acumen and experience

• Proven skills in fiscal management of A&P budgets

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize accordingly

• Consistently able to meet deadlines and respect the working needs of others

• Strong business, communication and presentation skills

• Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently

• Capacity to travel internationally (approx. 2 times/yr) and domestically (approx. 8 time/yr)

• Knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry as well as bilingualism will be considered assets
